Its thick fur allows it to withstand the cold, so it must be kept cool during periods of extreme heat. Adaptability to apartment living The Leonberger can adapt to apartment living provided they have ample space to move around and romp. Tendency to bark Rare Relationship with children The Leonberger is one of the breeds most willing to play with children. In any case, it is advisable to supervise them given the massive size of this dog.
